Djingilsai

The Djingilsai licence covers an area of 85 square-kilometres, approximately 30km northeast of the Tolubay licence. Stream sediment and soil sampling undertaken by Perseus at several Soviet era prospects identified the two principal prospects of Ulugtau and Kurbanbulak.

Sampling at Ulugtau has been hampered by the loess cover but is a high priority target for follow-up based on, among other geological characteristics, the presence of potential Tolubai rocks (which include the gold bearing jasperoids found at Shambesai). The main jasperiod band appears largely concealed by loess, but extends over at least 900m of strike, is up to 10m thick and has returned strong gold mineralisation from channel sampling of two trenches located 250m apart.

While exploration is still at a very early stage over most of the Djingilsai licence, the presence of a possible geological analogue of the Obdilla-Chauvai area suggests Djingilsai is highly prospective for Carlin style gold mineralisation and therefore systematic exploration including reprocessing of historical geophysical data will be undertaken.

Aravan

The Aravan Project is a single exploration licence covering 457 square kilometres, located 15km south-west of Osh. The project is considered prospective for Tolubai Suite equivalent rocks and it also covers a major structurally prospective, east-west trending thrust zone that extends from Djingilsai to the west.

Exploration is still at an early stage and the gold prospective zones are concealed by a thin cover of loess and is unlikely to have been effectively explored with conventional surface geochemistry.  The Aravan Project is considered to be highly prospective for Carlin style gold mineralisation and systematic exploration will target the jasperiod horizons to assess their potential.
